Former Unigine Developer Publishes GravityMark Graphics Benchmark Tool
Former Unigine developer Alexander Zapryagaev has released a free cross-platform, cross-api graphical benchmarking tool aimed at benchmarking processes that render hundreds of thousands of objects.
GravityMark was developed by Tellusim. The company has developed an engine for professional simulations, visualizations and VR applications, and was founded by the former Unigine developer, who left Unigine in 2018. The program can render hundreds of thousands of objects at once, making it a good stress test for GPUs, especially older ones.
GravityMark is mainly focused on benchmarking GPU acceleration, showing space, with thousands of asteroids in a belt. The program is available for Linux, macOS, and Windows, and supports OpenGL, Open GL ES, Vulkan, Direct3D 11, Direct3D 12, and Apple Metal. GravityMark is free to download.
