Former Oppo subsidiary brand Realme has 35 million users
Former Oppo subsidiary brand Realme has 35 million users in a year. That’s what the manufacturer says. It is unclear whether these are active users of the software or supplied phones.
Realme ‘Blade Runner’
The former Oppo subsidiary brand, which shared the milestone on Weibo, has been an independent subsidiary for a year and mainly sells midrange smartphones. The text does not say whether it concerns active users or delivered phones, but in any case it gives an idea of the position of Realme on the market. With 35 million users in a year, Realme is far from a market leader, but many smaller manufacturers such as LG and Sony deliver far fewer smartphones per year; Sony sold 3.2 million smartphones last year.
Realme also says it will announce new products in a week and a half and the message mentions a smartphone with the internal code name Blade Runner, presumably a gaming phone. In addition, there have been rumors about a TV for some time. MySmartPrice shows pictures of boxes of the TV showing a screen size of 43″ and a Netflix logo. OnePlus, another manufacturer affiliated with Oppo, has been selling its own TV with Android TV in the Indian market since last year.
