Former Oppo subsidiary brand Realme announces first smartphone with 64Mp camera

Former Oppo subsidiary Realme has announced the XT, the first smartphone presented with a primary camera that has a resolution of 64 megapixels. It was already known that smartphone cameras with that resolution would come.

Realme has circulated the smartphone to media in India, GSMArena writes. The company wanted to be the first to announce a 64Mp camera phone, and Xiaomi is set to do the same this week. Oppo has not yet mentioned a price and release date of the price, although it should be released in September.

The camera sensor is a Samsung GW1, a sensor of around 1/1.5″ with 0.8 micron pixels. By default, the software merges four pixels for a 16-megapixel photo. The Realme XT has three other cameras on the back; one 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, 2-megapixel macro camera and 2-megapixel depth sensor.

The phone also has an OLED screen of around 100 square centimeters with a diagonal of around 6.4 “and a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels. The soc is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 712. The phone has a USB-C port, 3.5 mm jack and bluetooth. 5.0, but has to do without nfc Realme phones usually do not come out in the Benelux.
