Forgotten Empires has published the Age of Empires II Definitive Edition roadmap. It contains the updates that players can expect in the summer, fall and 2023. The roadmap includes some teasers.

This summer, Age of Empires II Definitive Edition players can expect shortcuts for rematches, and the rts game will also receive support for ranked map pool voting. Updates will follow in the fall make popular mods available through the settings

Forgotten Empires, recently acquired by Keywords, promises to release monthly updates to AoE II DE in 2023, giving players the assurance that the game will continue to be supported next year. The developer also puts some teasers in prospect.

For example, “something else” will appear in the game in the fall and the studio refers to an anniversary, possibly the 23rd anniversary of Age of Kings. As for updates for 2023, the studio is hinting at Dynasties of India and “old friends.” For the rest of this year and next, Forgotten Empires will continue to release updates to improve the balance of the classic strategy game.
