Fitbit releases ‘business’ fitness tracker Inspire
Fitbit has released a new fitness tracker called Inspire. Unlike the company’s other smart bracelets, this one can only be purchased for business. Interested companies can provide the Inspire to their employees.
The Inspire is therefore part of the so-called Fitbit Health Solutions, a business service with which companies can monitor and improve the health of their employees. Insurers can also offer the Inspire to their customers. Interested companies can contact Fitbit for delivery of the Inspire.
Furthermore, the Inspire looks like an average activity tracker in terms of functionality. For example, steps and calories burned are counted, and it is possible to track sleep. There are also reminders to move and notifications from the smartphone can be passed on. A more extensive version called Inspire HR can also measure heart rhythm and offers GPS. The battery should last about five days.
It is not known what the Inspire will cost, but this will probably also depend on the number of bracelets that an interested company wants to purchase.
