First YouTube videos that can only be seen with a paid subscription appear
The first videos that can only be seen with a YouTube Red subscription have appeared online. There have been videos online for some time that can be viewed for a one-off payment, such as full-length films from various film companies.
The YouTube Red Originals are videos that several well-known YouTubers like PewDiePie have made for users with a paid subscription. The first four videos for subscribers appeared on Wednesday, the Google subsidiary announced.
The subscription is not yet available in the Benelux, according to Red’s page. However, the videos are individually for sale in the Benelux for 9.99 euros each. In the United States, a subscription costs $9.99 per month. For that price, users can not only watch Red Originals, but get to see all the other videos without any ads.
After the first four videos, more YouTube series will appear under the Red Originals banner this year. It is unknown how many people have already taken out a YouTube Red subscription.
