Nintendo is launching a paid expansion for Switch games Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero will be available in two parts later this year. The DLC takes place outside the Paldea region.

The Pokemon Company announced the expansion during a Pokémon Presents event. The two parts of the DLC will be released this year. The first part, The Teal Mask, will be available this fall. This chapter takes place in the land of Kitakami, where players travel for a school trip. The second part, The Indigo Disk, will follow in the winter of this year. In that chapter, the player plays an exchange student at the Blueberry academy. According to The Pokémon Company, the two chapters tell a “coherent story.”

Players who purchase The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero will have access to both chapters when they are released. The expansion introduces ancient Pokémon that were not found in the Paldea region from Scarlet and Violet, in addition to two new legendary Pokémon. The company also reports that the DLC includes a New Uniform Set, consisting of new clothing items.
