First Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 video cards appear at online stores
Several GeForce RTX 4080 models have appeared at online stores in the United States and the United Kingdom, with prices included. Models from Palit and PNY cost about 1690 and 1460 euros converted. The video card will be officially released on November 16.
A major US web store shows a PNY XLR8 Gaming Verto model of the GeForce RTX 4080, also writes Tom’s Hardware. The video card is listed there at a price of 1200 dollars. That corresponds to the US suggested retail prices that Nvidia mentions for its own Founders Edition. Converted and with VAT, the video card would cost 1460 euros. This model has a boost clock of 2505MHz, just like the Founders Edition. Newegg also mentions an OC variant of the XLR8 Gaming Verto with a boost clock of 2555MHz, 50Mhz faster than the regular variant. The webshop does not mention a price for the OC model.
At the same time, a British web store has published a number of GeForce RTX 4080 models from Palit, noted tech website VideoCardz. These video cards are more expensive than the PNY variant at the American web store. The cheapest model, the GeForce RTX 4080 OmniBlack, costs 1449.97 British pounds, which translates to 1690 euros. The web store also lists an RTX 4080 GameRock and GameRock OC for £1499.97 and £1529.97 respectively. Converted that is 1749 and 1784 euros.
Nvidia announced its first RTX 40 video cards in late September. The company would initially come with two RTX 4080 video cards, which were designated the ‘RTX 4080 12GB’ and ‘RTX 4080 16GB’. In addition to the amount of memory, these cards also differed in the number of CUDA cores. Later, Nvidia canceled the release of the 12GB variant. The RTX 4080 16GB will be released on November 16. The Founders Edition has a suggested retail price of 1460 euros. Previously, images of RTX 4080 GPUs from Gigabyte and MSI appeared, although no prices were mentioned.
