First images show turn-based strategy game based on Netflix series Narcos
Publisher Curve Digital has released a turn-based strategy game based on the Netflix series Narcos. The game will be released for PC and consoles in the third quarter of next year. The publisher is now showing the first images of Narcos: Rise of the Cartels.
The makers describe the game as a violent turn-based action strategy game, retracing the events of the Netflix series. Players can take on the role of the DEA or a drug cartel. The short teaser only shows environments, no characters or gameplay.
The development of Narcos: Rise of the Cartels was announced earlier this year. It was then stated that the game would be released in the spring of 2019. Now the publisher says that the game will be released in the third quarter of that year. Narcos: Rise of the Cartels is coming to PC and consoles, but which one is yet to be announced.
The fourth season of the Narcos series can be seen on Netflix from Friday. The first season has been on the streaming service since August 2015. The series is about drug cartels in South America. The first three seasons are set in Colombia and are about Pablo Escobar and the Cali cartel. The fourth season has a different cast and is about drug trafficking in Mexico.
