First image of Amazon smart speaker with 7″ screen comes out
An image has surfaced online of what is presumably a new member of Amazon’s smart speaker series Echo. The new model features a 7″ diagonal touchscreen and should be released next month.
The image first came out on Aftvnews, but was later moved to a higher resolution published by Evleaks. The picture shows a rectangular model with a touchscreen above the speaker. On the screen, the weather, the user’s agenda and the time are projected, and an advice for a voice command is given. A second image that Evleaks has posted online shows that a white version of the speaker should also be on the market.
The new screen speaker is rumored to be codenamed Knight, and Amazon plans to make an announcement next month. As far as specifications are concerned, the screen would have a diagonal of 7 “, but not much is clear about the rest.
At the end of last month, Amazon presented the Echo Look, a new smart speaker with a built-in camera that can give clothing advice, among other things. Taking photos and videos can be done via voice commands, as is usual with Amazon speakers. For the time being, the Echo Look is only for sale by invitation.
