Listings of the Fiji XT and Tonga XT GPUs have appeared in an Indian database of import and export data. These GPUs are rumored to be used for the future AMD Radeon Rx 300 series.

The Fiji XT designation is in the database of the Indian Zauba with the mention of a video card board with type number C880. According to Videocardz, this is said to be the PCB model for the Radeon R9 390 series and a card with Fiji Pro GPU under that name is also being produced. According to the site, the Fiji GPUs will have to compete with Nvidia’s GM204 GPU, which forms the basis for the GeForce GTX 970 and GTX 980. A previously published case with Asetek water-cooling of the R9 390 would be a prototype, which AMD next would consider three other test versions.

In addition, AMD would provide upcoming Radeon Rx 300 video cards with a Tonga XT GPU. This gpu is also in the Zauba database. The Tonga XT would have a 384-bit wide memory bus and originally that GPU would be used for the Radeon R9 285X, but after the introduction of Nvidia’s GTX 980 and 970 AMD would have abandoned that plan. AMD will announce both Fiji and Tonga XT GPU cards in January or February 2015, according to Videocardz.
