Dark Souls III: Ashes of Ariandel will be released on October 25. The arrival of the DLC was announced by Sony through a tweet, which has since been removed. A Japanese magazine has also published some details about the expansion.

According to Japan’s Esuteru, the DLC will include new weapons, new magic, and a PVP environment titled “Immortal Competition.” Presumably the expansion will also include a storyline as an expansion to the game, but no details are known about that yet.

The official announcement of the DLC will probably follow shortly. Sony put a tweet online on Tuesday with the release date and a link to a trailer. However, the video is not yet available to view because it is a private video.

Dark Souls 3 was released in April for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows. It is presumably the last installment in the Souls series. The Season Pass that entitles you to the expansions costs 24.99 euros. Earlier, publisher Bandai Namco announced that two DLCs for the game will appear.
