First desktop with Broadwell Core i7-5775C appears at webshop
The American web store Overstock has included a desktop system with Core i7-5775C in its range. It seems that the start of sales of the Broadwell quadcore for desktops is imminent.
The sale on Overstock concerns the Gamer Xtreme GXi320OS from the American manufacturer CyberPowerPC. The processor of the gamers PC is the Core i7-5775C and the product page confirms some details of the as yet unannounced processor. The clock speed is 3.3GHz, with Turbo Boost to 3.7GHz. The amount of L3 cache is 6MB. The integrated video chip is the Iris Pro 6200 Graphics and it concerns a CPU for the LGA1150 socket that is combined with the Z97 chipset in the system.
Earlier rumors spoke of the Core i7-5775C getting an unlocked multiplier and tdp of 65W. The chip is likely part of a line of five Broadwell CPUs for desktops: two Broadwell CPUs for the LGA1150 socket and three BGA variants mainly used by all-in-ones. The release was expected in the second half of 2015, but the introduction may take place in early June during Computex Taiwan.
