First clues new project 2K Games appear online
Publisher 2K Games announced earlier this month in the presentation of the quarterly results that it will announce a new game. It has now opened a website for an organization christened Advent. Whether it will be the title of the new game is unknown.
When publisher Take-Two Interactive announced earlier this month that it had sold 52 million copies of Grand Theft Auto V, it also announced that its subsidiary 2K Games will soon announce a new game. That announcement has not yet been made, but the first indications have now been released by 2K.
The publisher refers via Twitter to the website of an organization called Advent. Much more than the slogan of the organization is unknown; ‘building a brighter future together’. Advent strives for a world without hunger, pain, disease and war. An accompanying PDF shows that Advent wants to achieve this through gene therapy.
The hints 2K Games gives out do not seem to refer to a game from one of the publisher’s well-known series. It therefore seems that 2K has a completely new game in the planning. It is unknown when the publisher will announce the new game. That may happen during E3 game fair, which takes place in Los Angeles in mid-June. The publisher will not give a press conference there, but will be present on the exhibition floor.
