First alpha Diablo II Resurrected starts April 9th

Blizzard announced an alpha for Diablo II: Resurrected on Tuesday. For the alpha, a limited number of players will be invited, who have registered via the developer’s website.

In a news story, Blizzard announces the first alpha for Diablo II: Resurrected where players will be admitted. It concerns a ‘limited number’ of players on PC according to Blizzard. Invitations will be sent to selected players on Friday, April 9.

During the alpha, only single player can be played, with the amazon, barbarian and sorceress. The other announced classes are not yet playable. Parts of Act I and Act II will be playable.

Players who gain access are allowed to record and stream their gameplay. Blizzard will also stream the alpha itself from Thursday 9 April via Twitch and YouTube. The alpha lasts until Monday, April 12 at 8 p.m. It will be the first of several tests, Blizzard writes.

Blizzard announced the remaster of Diablo II in February during this year’s Blizzcon online due to the pandemic. Diablo II: Resurrected will be released later this year for Windows, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch.
