Xtreamer has released a release candidate of version 3.5 of the firmware for the Xtreamer Prodigy. These Realtek 1186 chipset equipped media players are designed to play and stream media files from the optional built-in hard drive, a device on the internal network, wired or wireless, or over the Internet. In this release, among other things, the system has been made completely open, which offers the possibility for “the community” to develop customizations for the user interface and functionality.
