Download Firmware Tyan Thunder n4250QE 2.04

Tyan has for its motherboards of types Thunder n4250QE (S4985 and S4985-E) released a new bios with 2.04 as the version number. The motherboards are based around Nvidia nForce Pro 2200 / 2050 chips and accommodate four AMD Opteron 8000 series processors with socket 1207 sockets. The list of changes looks like this:

Version 2.04:

• Update AGESA code to v3.2.7.0
• Updated a BMC issue where it was incorrectly logging memory resize information
• Fixed an issue with a 3D Connection USB controller card + USB Keyboard compatibility issue
• Updated ECC memory settings according to AMD recommendations
• Added option to hit Hotkey and a BIOS boot menu will appear so that a user can choose a specific boot device
• Added option to hit Hotkey and the bios will force LAN PXE boot
• Added option to bypass Memory counting if key is pressed
• Added Keyboard Error Report option to POST process
• Fixed an issue where you couldn’t get the system to function with 2x Quad PCI-E LAN cards and a PCI-E RAID card all installed

Version 2.03:

• Fixed MCE errors that reported during cold boot
• Updated AMD AGESA code to v3.1.7.0
• Fixed an issue where the system will hang at boot when the system has just one piece of memory on node 3
• Changed the ECC Option default value to “Basic”
• Added Endless Boot Option to the bios

Version 2.02:

• Fixed a Power On hang 87-FF issue
• Fixed a boot failure when using 8 CPUs
• Changed the local APCI ID start number to fix a RHEL4 UP4 installation issue
• Updated to AGESA code v3.1.4.0.
