Download Firmware Tyan S7010 2.03a Beta

Tyan has for his motherboards of the type S7010 released a new beta bios with 2.03a as the version number. The motherboard is based around a Intel 5520chipset and accommodates two Intel Xeon 5500 series CPUs with a Socket-B socket. The list of changes looks like this:

Version 2.03a beta:

• Add support for DDR3 low voltage memory
• Added 30 sec to BMC response time
• Added VLAN support options in BIOS

Version 2.02:

• Fixed an issue the system would kernel panic or hang during a Linux reboot test
• Fixed an issue where you could not boot from a CD-ROM when LSI 1068e was enabled
• Fixed an issue where you could not boot from a CD-ROM when the Intel AHCI was enabled
• Fixed an issue where the timestamp was abnormal during first AC power on attempt
• Added VLAN feature to bios settings
• Fixed an issue where Turbo mode would not function correctly when TPM was set to [Enable]
• Fixed an issue where the L5518 would not show the correct number of cores
• Fixed an issue where the L5518 would not allow you to boot to an OS
• Fixed an issue where the BMC would create abnormal event logs during first AC power on attempt
• Fixed a TLB error under WinXP/Server 2003 64-bit

Version 2.01:

• Updated the port numbering for SATA ports in the bios
• Fixed an issue where CentOS 5.1 would not shut down properly
• Updated the Crystal Beach DMA and DCA bios settings

Version 2.00:

• Fixed an issue where the IPMI drivers would not work properly
• Fixed an issue where the Console Redirection After BIOS POST [Boot Loader] would not work properly
• Fixed an issue so that the system FANs duty cycle will properly retrieve information from “PWM Minimal Duty Cycle[30%/45%/60%]”
• Updated the Hardware Monitoring section of the bios to report the temperature of memory module for each channel
• Updated the bios so that the LAN IP address can be adjusted directly under BIOS setup
