TP-Link has released new firmware for the TL-WR1043ND. This router offers WiFi in the flavors b, g and n, has four gigabit network ports and also has a USB port with which a hard drive or USB stick can be shared over the network. This version does not yet contain support for ipv6, but TP-Link has promised in an e-mail correspondence that it is the intention to make this router suitable for ipv6. In this release, among other things, the login screen has been improved to hack into the router to make it more difficult.

Modifications and Bug Fixes

• Improved the login policy to enhanced security;
• Improved media server function to support 3000 files;
• Changed the default PPPoE dial-up type from Dial-on-Demand to Auto-Connect;
• Fixed a bug that DNS and Default gateway can’t be empty under Static IP mode;
