TP-Link has released new firmware for the Archer C7. This dual-band router offers WiFi in the flavors b, g, n and ac, with throughput speeds of up to 1300Mbit/s. In addition, there are four gigabit network ports and two USB ports, with which a hard drive or USB stick can be shared over the network. The changelog for this release can be found below.

Modifications and Bug Fixes

• Fixed the wireless compatibility issue with Apple Macbook Air, Macbook Pro, and Mac mini;
• Added the support for TP-LINK Tether 2.0 Mobile App;
• Improved the compatibility with DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance) devices and enhanced the overall performance;
• Improved the interoperability of the WDS (Wireless Distribution System);
• Added the support for multiplayer online gaming with XBOX;
• Added a new login domain “tplinkwifi.net” for web-based management;
• Main bugs fixed include:PS3 may not detect the router as a UPnP device; DynDNS does not update properly occasionally; Some minor issues with IPv6;The USB Storage is not accessible when encryption is enabled.
