Synology has released an update to Disk Station Manager for 2009 models, identified by the model number ending in 9. Synology DSM is the management software that runs on several of the company’s NAS products. Version 4.2 build 3255 obviously does not bring any new functionality, but it fixes several problems, including a security problem in Samba.
