Download Firmware Synology Disk Station Manager 4.1 build 2647

Spread the love

Synology has released an update for Disk Station Manager version 4.1. Synology DSM is the management software that runs on several of the company’s NAS products. The Disk, Cube and Rack Stations offer more than just extra storage space. For example, backups of all clients on the network can be made and files can be downloaded via http, ftp, bittorrent, usenet and emule, so that, for example, energy-hungry PCs can switch off at night, while the download just comes in. Furthermore, audio and video files can be streamed over the network via the built-in iTunes server, a dynamic website can be hosted using PHP and MySQL and the device can act as a print server. Version 4.1 is only suitable for the NAS models ending in 09- or higher. In addition, some functionality is not possible on every model, such as support for VMware vSphere 5.0 VAAI. This update contains the following improvements:

Changelog:

  • Fixed an issue where the folder and file names were case-sensitive when you access them via Windows File Sharing.
  • Fixed an issue where full backup was performed when it should be incremental backup. Amazon S3 users should apply this update to reduce the amount of data transmission.
  • Improved the NFS performance when mounted to VMware ESXi 5.1 servers.
  • Improved the AirPrint compatibility with iOS 6 devices.
  • Improved the compatibility with Internet Explorer 10.
  • Other fixes.
