Download Firmware Sony PlayStation Portable 6.31

Sony released new firmware for its PlayStation Portables at the end of last month. The version number is tapping 6.31 and the firmware should work even more stably in combination with different software titles. The list of changes since the previous entry in the Meuktracker looks like this:

Version 6.31

Games: For certain PSP software titles, the system software is now even more stable.

Version 6.20

The main features in version 6.20 of the system software

• Extras has been added as a new category and under this category is the application [Digital Comics] added.
  With this application you can now enjoy content such as comics.
  You can only use the Digital Comics application if you have individual Digital Comics. These will be available on PlayStation Store from December 2009 in the following countries: Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, United Kingdom and South Africa. Keep an eye on playstationcomics.com for more information and updates on when the Digital Comics application will be available in more countries. Note: Digital Comics are not yet available in the Benelux.

General

• The XMB™ (XrossMediaBar) menu has been redesigned.

Photo/video

• You can now import photo and video playlists created with your Media Go application or a PS3 system to your PSP system and enjoy them on the go.

New features in the PlayStation Store

• The PlayStation Store Video Store is now available in Germany, France, Spain and the United Kingdom.
• You can now download video content for free or for a fee from PlayStation Store. You can also rent content to play for a limited time.
• The PlayStation Store Video Store is available in a limited number of countries. Also, only a certain number of languages ​​are supported and the services available vary by region. For more information, contact the technical support for your region.
