Download Firmware Sony PlayStation 4 3.50
Sony has released new firmware for the PlayStation 4. The new firmware carries version number 3.50 and is 286MB in size. Downloading is preferably done from the update menu of the game console itself, but can also be done via the Sony website. New in version 3.50 includes the ability to create an event, change online status and play a game on a Windows PC or Mac using Remote Play. The complete changelog for this release looks like this:
The main features in version 3.50 of the system software
- You can now create an event. Select [Events] > [Event maken], set the date, time, number of players who can join and other details, then send invitations to the players you want to play with. You can also create events in [Berichten].
- Play together has been added to [Party]. For online multiplayer games that support Play Together, you can automatically invite other players and start game sessions right away.
- Notifications are now displayed when your friends come online. You can change this setting to [Instellingen] > [Meldingen] > [Wanneer vrienden online gaan].
- You can now change your online status to offline, even if you’re just online. When you sign in to the PS4 system, select [Inloggen met onlinestatus ‘Als offline weergeven’] in the options menu. You can also change your status on the profile screen or the quick menu. But watch out:
- In a game, other players may see that you are online.
- Your use of social features (such as “Share”) may be visible to other users.
- When you sign in to PS3, PS Vita or PS TV you will be shown online.
- You can now use Remote Play on a computer (Windows PC or Mac) with PS4 Remote Play installed. To do this, download and install the PS4 Remote Play app, then connect to your PS4 system.
- It is now possible to broadcast your gameplay on Dailymotion.
Even more new and improved features in version 3.50

- You can now share activities from other players. For example, in What’s new? select an activity you want to share, then select ‘Share activity’.
- When uploading screenshots and video clips, players can now tag other players they’ve played with. To choose who can tag you, select [Instellingen] > [PlayStationNetwork/Accountbeheer] > [Privacy-instellingen] > [Je ervaring delen] > [Tags].
- Depending on the content, verified accounts are now displayed on the content information screen, making it easier to track the accounts.
- PSN Status: You can quickly check the status of PlayStation Network services via Settings > Network.
- Create Teen Accounts: Teens (aged 13-17) can now create their own account and play in offline mode until parents approve the account and complete parental control settings.
