Download Firmware Sony NEX-7 1.01

Sony has released new firmware for the top model of the NEX series, the NEX-7. This camera has a built-in OLED EVF with 2.4 million sub pixels. The firmware has been given version number 1.01 and downloads are available for Windows and OS X. At the bottom of this posting is a video from matthewdurrphotography.com, comparing firmware versions 1.00 and 1.01. The changelog for this release looks like this:

Version 1.01 provides the following benefits:

• Addition of capability to enable or disable the MOVIE button
• Addition of exposure settings of bracket shooting (three frames /1.0EV,2.0EV, 3.0EV)
• Improvement of response for showing auto review image.
• Improvement of image quality when using a wide angle lens
• Improvement of indication when setting “Flexible Spot”.
