Download Firmware Sony A7 III 4.0
Sony has released new firmware for its A7 III system cameras with 4.0 as the version number. These cameras include a full-frame BSI sensor with five-axis image stabilization and 24.2 megapixels, and are suitable for lenses with a Sony E mount. The changes in this release extend ftp capabilities and improve stability. These look like this:

Benefits and improvements
- Adds new FTP transfer features
- Allows you to transfer photos during recording and playback.
- Adds the following FTP transfer functions:
- You can limit the files to be transferred to, for example, protected images or non-transferred images. You can transfer the images together as a batch.
- Allows you to transfer only the image being played back by pressing the resizable key.
- Allows you to transfer all images automatically while shooting.
- Allows you to select the setting for transferring both RAW and JPEG files created in RAW+JPEG format to an FTP server.
- Update the destination folder configuration.
- Allows you to register up to nine FTP servers. (Before this was a maximum of 3)
- Allows you to change the destination folder configuration on the FTP server: Save image data directly to the folder you choose.
Register the media card slot number in the folder configuration.
Register the folder configuration in the same way as your camera. - Improved control of FTP transfer function. Allows you to set items under Server Setup with the Smartphone application Transfer & Tagging add-on.
- Improves the overall stability of the camera.
IMPORTANT: When you update to this version, the FTP transfer setting is initialized. Configure it again after the update.
NOTE: The Transfer & Tagging add-on application is only available in certain countries and regions.
