QNAP has released an update to version 4.1.0 of the firmware for the NAS devices equipped with an ARM processor. In version 4.1.0 we find some new apps and several improvements have been made to the existing apps. In addition, the performance of the QTS desktop has been improved, Time Machine support has been added in OS X 10.9, a newer network driver has been added, and several new Wi-Fi dongles can be used. This update contains some bug fixes and sets smb 2.0 as the default protocol. However, this only applies to new installations, in an existing installation this must be enabled via an ssh command.

• File Station would fail to add shared folders to be transcoded when right-clicking on the root folder of any shared folder on the left side folder tree.
• Could not play music with MediaViewer in File Station when logged in without administrator privileges.
• -Video Station would be stuck at the loading screen if there was no video in shared folders and the firmware just installed.
