Download Firmware OCZ Vertex 3, Agility 3, Solid 3 2.06

OCZ Technology has released new firmware for its Vertex 3, Vertex 3 Max IOPS, Agility 3 and Solid 3 series SSD storage products. This version is numbered 2.06 and improves the boot time under normal use and the power consumption in idle mode. Additionally, fixes an issue that could occur when installing Windows 7 on some systems equipped with an Intel P67 chipset. The list of changes looks like this:

Issues resolved since version 2.02

• Fixed a rare corner case issue where a STOP error may occur during Windows OS 7 installation on a small number of platforms using Intel’s P67 Sandy bridge chipset
• Improved boot up time during typical operation
• Improved the drive’s power consumption when it was in an idle mode

Known open issues:

• Formatting a RAID1 volume takes longer than expected with PMC-Sierra BR-8 HBA

Note:

• Future firmware upgrades require drives that have firmware version 2.06 or higher.
• Once the drive has been upgraded with firmware version 2.06, it can NOT be downgraded to version 2.02.
