Nokia has released new firmware for the N86 8MP, the manufacturer’s flagship camera. As can be clearly seen in the changelog, Nokia has made many changes related to the camera. Of course, Nokia has also implemented the latest versions of their services in this firmware, such as Nokia Messaging 1.1 and the latest baseline update of Nokia Maps.

In addition to the option to have the device equipped with the latest firmware at a Nokia Service Point, it is also possible to use the Nokia Software Updater home with this firmware. It is possible that the mobile has not yet been approved by the supplier for this update. If this is the case, it is recommended that you contact the relevant supplier or visit a Nokia Service Point.

• Browser had serious regression during PR2.0 timeframe – still unclear if PR2.0 is any better or worse the in PR1.x SW
• Nokia Messaging (FS email) still has occasional problems in email creation (server related)
• Maps problems are still there (current consumption, crash and navigation problems)
• Camera current consumption problem might still be in PR2.0 (occasionally camera can have high current consumption after closing camera reveal)
