Download Firmware Nikon D800/D800E A 1.10, B 1.10
Nikon has for its D800 and D800E digital SLR cameras released new firmware with version number 1.10. The firmware can be loaded onto the camera from an OS X or Windows machine. These cameras have an FX-format cmos image sensor with 36.3 megapixels on board and can be equipped with interchangeable lenses. The list of changes in this release is large and the same for both cameras.
Changes in this version
- Custom Setting f13 has been changed to Assign Movie Record Button.
- Since Custom Setting f13 has been changed to Assign Movie Record Button, Assign AF-ON MB-D12 is now Custom Setting f14.
- Custom Setting f15: Assign Remote Fn Button has been added.
- The following functions have been added or renamed when the D800 is used with Communication Unit UT-1 with firmware version 2.0. In the setup menu, the Network (UT-1) option has been added and the Wireless Transmitter option has been renamed to Wireless Transmitter (WT-4).
Feature added:
– HTTP Server Mode
Use this mode to view the photos on the memory card in the camera or to take photos from a web browser on a computer or iPhone.
Features that have changed names:
– FTP upload mode (formerly Transfer mode (FTP))
Use this mode for uploading to an FTP server photos and movies from memory cards in the camera or photos immediately after taking them.
– Image Transfer Mode (formerly Transfer Mode (PC))
Use this mode for uploading photos and movies to a computer from memory cards in the camera or photos immediately after taking them.
– Camera Control Mode (formerly PC Mode)
Use this mode to control the camera from a computer with Camera Control Pro 2 (sold separately) and to save photos and movies directly to the computer.
To enable support for these functions, you must update the firmware of Communication Unit UT-1 to version 2.0 or later, and update Wireless Transmitter Utility to version 1.5.0 or later. Once the camera firmware is updated, network profiles specified with previous firmware versions cannot be used. You must recreate the network profiles. - Support for the firmware version update of communication unit UT-1 has been added.
- Support for CompactFlash memory cards with capacities greater than 128 GB has been added.
- When AF-ON only was selected for Custom Setting a4 (AF activation) and the AF-ON button was pressed to initiate autofocus during viewfinder shooting, focus remained even after the user lifted his or her finger from the button. locked and could release the shutter at any time. However, the specifications have been changed so that the shutter cannot be released if the camera does not focus under the following conditions.
– Autofocus mode is set to AF-S (single-servo AF)
– AF area mode is set to Single-point AF
– Custom Setting a2 (AF-S priority selection) is set to Focus - When values for 12 or 18 lenses were saved via AF fine-tuning > Saved value in the setup menu, only some lenses for which values were saved were displayed under Show saved values. This issue has been resolved.
- When the live view selector was set to live view photography while Custom Setting g4 (Assign shutter) was set to Shooting movies, a value could not be measured for the manually preset white balance. This issue has been resolved.
- When the built-in flash was set to Commander mode, external flash units sometimes failed to fire. This issue has been resolved.
- In rare cases, the memory card access lamp stayed on longer than usual and it took some time before operations could be performed. This issue has been resolved.
