Download Firmware Nikon D4 1.11
Nikon has released new firmware for its D4 DSLR. The update, which updates both the A and B firmware, is available for macOS and Windows. The D4 is a professional digital SLR camera with a 16.2 megapixel full-frame CMOS image sensor. It can be used with a wide range of interchangeable Nikkor lenses. The list of changes looks like this:
Changes from firmware “A”/“B” version 1.10 to “A”/“B” version 1.11
- Added the following support for AF-P lenses:
- If the standby timer expires after focusing, the focus position will no longer be changed when the timer is reactivated.
- When focus is adjusted by rotating the lens focus ring, the focus indicator in the viewfinder (and in live view, the focus point in the monitor) will now blink to indicate when infinity or the shortest focus position has been reached.
- Added support for AF-P DX lenses.
- The following issues have been resolved:
- When pictures were taken using Camera Control Pro 2 after Custom Setting d10 (Exposure delay mode) was enabled in the CUSTOM SETTING MENU, the software sometimes erroneously displayed a message stating that no picture could be taken.
Changes from firmware “A” version 1.05/“B” version 1.03 to “A”/“B” version 1.10
- The Remote Fn Button Option assign. added at position f17 in the CUSTOM SETTING MENU.
- Additional support for CompactFlash memory cards with capacities greater than 128 GB.
- If the AF-ON button is used to focus during viewfinder photography when AF-ON only is selected for Custom Setting a4 (AF activation) in the CUSTOM SETTING MENU, focus will remain locked when the button is released. Previously, the shutter could be released at any time, but under the following conditions, this operation has changed so that the shutter will not be released if the camera is unable to focus:
- AF-S is selected for AF mode
- Single-point AF is selected for AF-area mode
- Focus is selected for Custom Setting a2 (AF-S priority selection) in the CUSTOM SETTING MENU. An additional manual describing this function is available.
- Fixed an issue that caused “ERR” to be displayed in the top control panel when both XQD and CompactFlash cards were inserted in the camera.
