Download Firmware Nikon Coolpix S8000/S6000 1.1

Nikon has for its Coolpix S8000 and S6000 digital compact cameras released new firmware, version number 1.1. These cameras have a 1/2.3″ CCD image sensor with 14.2 megapixels on board. The S8000 models have a built-in lens with a range of 30-300mm, bringing the optical zoom to 10x. models, on the other hand, have a built-in lens with a range of 28-196mm, which means an optical zoom of 7x. Version 1.1 includes the following improvements.

• When the self-timer, flash mode, or macro mode setting was opened but closed without adjusting the setting after exposure compensation was applied, the exposure compensation setting was reset to 0.0. This problem has now been resolved.
