Spread the love

Nikon has for its Nikon 1 J1– and V1-digital cameras released new firmware, with version number 1.20. These cameras have a cmos image sensor in Nikon’s CX format on board and can be fitted with different lenses. For more information about the Nikon 1 series and these two models, we refer to our hands-on from October last year. The list of changes in this update is as follows:

Changes in this version

  • The exposure control program used in Smart Photo Selector mode, or in shooting mode with Exposure mode set to P Program Auto or Scene Auto Selector, has been revised for faster shutter speeds to prevent blur.
  • The automatic white balance has been improved.
  • Exposure accuracy when ISO sensitivity is set to Auto (100–3200), Auto (100–800), or Auto (100–400) is improved when shooting with the optional Speedlight SB-N5 where subjects are shot at close range. photographed.

The following issues have been resolved

  • An error message was sometimes displayed during interval shooting, which prevented the specified number of shots from being captured.
  • When the camera was turned on by releasing the retractable lens barrel lock on applicable lenses, there was sometimes a slight delay before the shutter could be released.
