This version, which is based on the original 1.0 B/C version of NEC, has support for bitsetting and also has a lot of media hacks and accelerations on board. For example, all supported 2.4x-speed DVD+R discs can be burned at 4x-speed. Herrie also stated that this firmware is not yet suitable for the NEC ND-1000A or ND-1100A.
