Download Firmware Fujifilm X-Pro2 4.01

Fujifilm has already suffered for its X-Pro2-digital system cameras released new firmware, with version number 4.01. These cameras have a 24.3 megapixel aps-c format x-trans-cmos-iii image sensor and are suitable for lenses with a Fujifilm X mount. This update is approximately 51MB in size and can be loaded onto the camera via a memory card set. The corresponding list of changes looks like this:

Version 4.01

• A phenomenon of freeze is fixed. It will occur in case you try to shoot pictures when all the three settings below are set at the same time after the firmware has been upgraded to version 4.00.
  • IMAGE QUALITY : FINE+RAW or NORMAL + RAW
  • RAW RECORDING : LOSSLESS COMPRESED
  • DRIVE : any of ADVANCED FILTER

Version 4.00

• Addition of 4K video mode (excluding HDMI out) – The update adds 4K video using the X Series’ famous Film Simulation modes. You can input audio from an external microphone. (Excluding HDMI output for recording)
• Support for tether shooting via USB or Wi-Fi – After connecting a camera to a computer, the compatible software will enable users to transfer images taken with the camera to the computer and save them in a specified folder, or to control the camera from the computer. To use the Tether shooting by wireless communication, one of the PC application software below and additional setting are required. For detail of the setting, refer to the setting manual.
• New AF tracking algorithm for moving subject – Thanks to the newly developed image recognition algorithm, the update enhances AF-C to track moving subjects twice as fast as previous firmware. In addition, the update also enhances tracking to be able to capture up to 50% smaller moving subjects than before.
• Support “FUJIFILM X RAW STUDIO”(Macintosh) – Once connecting a camera to a computer via USB cable, the “FUJIFILM X RAW STUDIO” enables users to convert RAW files with X Processor Pro. The first batch processing will also be available. The “FUJIFILM X RAW STUDIO” can be downloaded from the FUJIFILM website for free.
• Improve radio flash controller usability – The upgrade allows users to shoot with compatible third party studio flash in high speed sync. or TTL mode via their radio controllers.
• Support for backup/restore of camera settings via FUJIFILM X Acquire – Once connecting a camera to a computer via USB cable, the “FUJIFILM X Acquire” allows users to backup/restore camera settings to/from a file. Copying all camera settings from one camera to another is available. *Settings other than date, custom white balance, custom registration/edit can be backup and restored.
• Support for “Instax SHARE SP-3” – Additionally, “Instax SHERE SP-3” has become compatible with this camera.
• RGB histogram display and highlight warning – If you press the function button allocated to the histogram, RGB histogram and highlight warning (High brightness portion will blink.)are displayed.
• Re-start of AF function during a movie shooting – AF function can be done again by pressing the shutter button halfway during a movie shooting.
