Download Firmware Eminent EM7285 1.0.0.23

Eminent released new firmware for the EM7285 media player on Friday. This device is equipped with an RT1185 chipset from Realtek and includes USB 3.0, Gigabit LAN and Wi-Fi up to 802.11n. Internally there is room for a 3.5″ hard drive and Wi-Fi is offered as an option. Version 1.0.0.23 of the firmware makes the following changes and improvements:

New functions:

• When accessing DVD and BD files in separate folders, you can now choose to open the folder, or to play the files.
• Added third party apps. An account on is required for proper operation of the Third-party apps menu.
• New files that are placed on the hard disk (via Network, NZBget or Transmission) can be added to the database for database navigation by pressing the green button on the remote control in the main menu.

Improvements:

• Under certain circumstances, the player could spontaneously reboot shortly after booting up, or while playing video/audio. This has been rectified.
• DTS-HD and TrueHD audio playback via HDMI RAW has been improved for all file types.

Technical adjustments:

• The BT download folder has been moved from /hdd/volumes/HDD1/BT to the path /hdd/volumes/Download/BT.
• The folder ‘thunderdb’ is no longer automatically created on the internal disk, this is no longer necessary.
