Draytek has for his Vigor 2950-vpn appliance prepared new firmware. These vpn appliances can set up up to 50 temporary ssl vpn tunnels through the corresponding ssl web proxy, and set up up to 200 fixed vpn tunnels using pptp, ipsec, l2tp or l2tp over ipsec. This new firmware carries number 3.2.3 and comes with the following list of changes since the previous entry in the Meuktracker:

  • Support Samba, VNC and RDP protocols for SSLVPN
  • Support VPN dial in load balance by using WAN load balance mechanism
  • Support DPD and NAT-T for IPSec aggressive mode
  • Support SSLVPN VPN Graphic in syslog utility
  • Support address mapping for NAT
  • Support setting for 2nd subnet bandwidth limit
  • Support TCP/UDP option for NAT
  • Support WAN port VLAN Tag setting (command: wan vlantag)
  • Support IPSEC passthrough setting (command: srv nat ipsecpass)
  • Support pass 2nd subnet for VPN (command: vpn pass2nd on/off)

improvement:

  • Corrected: syslog can’t be sent out via VPN tunnel

  • Support Windows Vista SP1 SSTP (Secure Socket Tunneling Protocol)
  • Support multiple certificates for IPSec and SSTP modes
  • Support “Change default route to this VPN tunnel” (setting in LAN-to-LAN profile) for WAN1 and WAN2 interfaces
  • Support load balance policy recorder
  • Support auto refresh for Traffic Graph

improvement:

  • Corrected: The router cannot work properly in L2TP mode.
  • Corrected: UPnP devices cannot be detected in PPPoE mode in Apple Mac.
