Download Firmware Canon EOS 5D MkII 1.0.7

Canon has released new firmware for the EOS 5D MkII DSLR. The firmware has been given version number 1.0.7 and can be downloaded via Windows and Mac OS X applied to the digital camera. Version 1.0.7 includes a small number of improvements. Thus the ‘black dot’ problem has been solved. Canon also recommends updating the Digital Photo Professional and Picture Style Editor programs to the latest version. The changelog of the new firmware is posted below:

Firmware Update Version 1.0.7 improves and mitigates the following two types of image quality phenomena that occur under certain shooting conditions.

Firmware Version 1.0.7 is for EOS 5D Mark II cameras with firmware up to version 1.0.6. If the camera’s firmware is already version 1.0.7, it is not necessary to update the firmware.

Notes: When updating to Firmware Version 1.0.7, please also update the Digital Photo Professional and Picture Style Editor software.
