Download Firmware Canon EOS 1D Mark IV 1.1.1

Canon has released new firmware for the fourth generation of the EOS 1D DSLR. The update, which has been given version number 1.10, is 15MB in size and downloads are available for Windows and Mac OS X. The EOS-1D Mark IV cameras have a 16.1 megapixel CMOS sensor and two Digic 4 image processors on board. The devices also have an improved autofocus system. Version 1.1.1 should improve exposure with some lenses that will be released later this year.

Firmware version 1.1.1 includes the following changes:

• Optimizes camera exposure when using EF 24mm f/2.8 IS USM and EF 28mm f/2.8 IS USM lenses, scheduled to be released in June 2012. If these lenses are used on an EOS-1D Mark IV camera that has not been updated with the new firmware, the image may be overexposed depending on the subject and shooting scene.
