BenQ has new firmware released which converts the double layer DW1600A DVD burner into a DW1620A double layer burner with DVD-R and DVD-RW support. The update has version number B7H9 and can be downloaded via this link. Below are the release notes of B7H9:

Flash the device (DW1600-B5x9) to DW1620 (B7x9).

Enable the device to write DVD-R & DVD-RW media.[break]
