Download Firmware Asus RT-N66U 3.0.0.5.354

Asus recently released new firmware for the RT-N66U. This router can provide clients with network access both wired and wireless. There are also two USB ports so that a printer or external storage can be shared over the network. The new firmware has been given version number 3.0.0.5.354 and the changelog shows the following changes and improvements:

• Potential security issue from UPnP overflow.
• Wireless time control related bugs.
• Media server related issues when lan subnet change or USB hot plug
• IPv6 over PPPoE interoperability issues.
• PPPoE password setting error in Advanced wan setting.??

• Enhance the PPPoE NAT throughput.
• Enhance both 2.4GHz and 5GHz throughput.
• Support Huawei E353 3G/4G USB dongle.
• The router setting URL is changed to use the original URL can also go to the setting page.

• Optimize for XBOX option in Advanced Setting–>Wireless–>General. Enable this function can stabilize streaming speed.
• Network tools in Advanced setting
• WOL user interface (wake on LAN)
• H.323 and SIP passthrough can be disabled in Advanced Settings –> WAN –>NAT Passthrough
• Click the device name and lookup the manufacturer information
• Change the DHCP query frequency in Advanced settings–>WAN–>Internet connection to resolve the ISP compatibility issue.

Known issues

• The router need to reboot after 3G/4G USB dongle setting. It caused longer setting time. If you use the 3G/4G router mode, we recommend staying in 3.0.0.4.270.
