Download Firmware Asus P5B 0806
Asus has type for its motherboards P5B released a new BIOS with 0806 as the version number. The motherboards are built around an Intel P965 chipset and have an LGA-775 seat available for an Intel Core 2 Extreme, Core 2 Duo, Pentium Extreme, Pentium D, Pentium 4 or a Celeron D processor. The list of changes since the previous entry in the muck tracker looks like this:
Version 0806:
- Enable support for WiFi TV card
- Enable Presler XE 3.73 support
- Enable USB like support for SATA HDD connected to JMICRON controller when JMicron option is set to IDE or AHCI mode
- Drop CPU fan low limit to 600rpm when Conroe CPU is in use.
- Enhance ATA ODD compatibility
- Support Conroe-L CPU
- Fix CPU VCORE too high after overclocking fail
Version 0701:
- Enhance memory compatibility
- Fix DRAM frequency incorrectly display problem under auto, standard and AI NOS mode
- Reduce system full reset of times
- Patch some VGA card can’t found when NB Vcore value has been set too high
- Fix DDR frequency 889 unstable by SPD
- Add new CPU Ucode to support Kentsfield B3 stepping CPU
- Improve S3 resume time
- Fix FSB not correctly displayed in BIOS setup when CPU has been set to non-standard frequency
- Fix chassis fan 2 speed not correct when fan speed too low
