Apple has released version 9.3 of the software that runs on the Apple Watch. Updating the Apple Watch must be done via the app on the iPhone; instructions for this are available this page to find. Version 9 of watchOS has three new watch faces, it can keep track of when medication needs to be taken and there are several new fitness options. Since version 9.1, the following changes and improvements have been made:

watchOS 9.3

watchOS 9.3 includes new features, improvements, and bug fixes, and offers a new watch face, Unity Mosaic, celebrating Black history and culture in celebration of Black History Month.

watchOS 9.2

watchOS 9.2 includes new features, improvements, and bug fixes, including:

• ‘Route’ lets you compete against yourself, comparing your outdoor running, outdoor cycling and outdoor wheelchair riding performance to your previous workouts
• New modified kickboxing algorithm in the Workout app for more accurate measurements
• Sound app playback when ambient noise levels are reduced is now available with AirPods Pro (1st generation) and AirPods Max when using Active Noise Cancellation
• Family Setup users can be invited to the Home app so they can control HomePod speakers and smart home accessories and unlock doors with house keys in Wallet
• Accessibility support to visualize when the siren is being used on the Apple Watch Ultra
• Improved response time and accuracy of hand gesture controls for AssistiveTouch and Quick Tasks
• Optimizations for accident detection on Apple Watch Ultra, Apple Watch Series 8, and Apple Watch SE (2nd generation)
• Fixes an issue that could cause Apple Watch to display an incorrect time immediately after closing an alarm in Sleep Focus
• Fixed an issue that could cause mindfulness sessions to be interrupted
