Download Firmware Apple OS X Thunderbolt 1.2

Apple has released new firmware for its computers equipped with a Thunderbolt connection and OS X 10.8. The firmware carries version number 1.2 and should bring stability improvements when Target Disk Mode being used. For example, with TDM it is possible to access a hard disk of a computer that no longer wants to boot. The release notes for this release can be found below.

About Thunderbolt Firmware Update v1.2

This update provides stability fixes for Thunderbolt and Target Disk Mode.

When your computer restarts a gray screen will appear with a status bar to indicate the progress of the update.

Do not disturb or shut off the power on your computer during this update. Note: Your computer must be plugged into AC power for the update to install.
