Download Firmware Apple iPhone 2.2.1

Apple has released new firmware for the iPhone. The update is 245MB in size and is suitable for the first generation iPhone and the iPhone 3G. The update can be installed via iTunes 8.0 by checking in that program for updates. As the small jump in the version number suggests, we don’t find any shocking changes in this release. There is only mention of improved stability of the browser, Safari, and a problem with saving images in Mail has been fixed:
