Apple has version 16.2 of iOS released. From version 13, iOS is only suitable for the iPhone and the iPads have been given their own OS, the main difference being the extra options to use the larger screen. In iOS 16, which is suitable for the iPhone 8 and later, we find, among other things, a new lock screen with widgets. Furthermore, messages can be edited up to fifteen minutes after sending, tabs in Safari can be shared with others and routes can be planned with multiple stops. iOS 16.2

This update adds Freeform, an app that helps you brainstorm and bring your ideas to life. This version also adds Apple Music Sing and Lock Screen improvements, and includes other features and bug fixes for your iPhone.

Freeform

• Freeform is a new app for working creatively with friends or colleagues on Mac, iPad and iPhone
• You can add files, images, sticky notes, and more to a flexible work area
• Drawing utensils allow you to draw with your finger anywhere on the work area

Apple Music Sing

• A new way to sing along to millions of your favorite songs in Apple Music
• Fully adjustable vocal settings allow you to sing a duet with the original artist, sing solo or a mix of both
• With the improved beat-oriented lyrics, it is even easier to follow the lyrics

Access screen

• New settings let you hide wallpaper or notifications when Always On is enabled for the screen on iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max
• The sleep widget allows you to view your most recent sleep data
• The medication widget allows you to view reminders and quickly access your intake schedule

Game Center

• SharePlay support in Game Center for multiplayer games, so you can game with the people you’re on FaceTime with
• With the activity widget you can see what your friends are playing and what achievements they are achieving right on your home screen

Home

• Improved reliability and efficiency of communications between your smart home accessories and Apple devices

This update also includes the following improvements and bug fixes:

• The improved search function in Messages allows you to find photos based on the content of the photos, such as a dog, car, person or text
• Reload and Show IP Address allows Private Passthrough in iCloud users to temporarily disable the feature for a specific site in Safari
• With participant cursors in Notes, you can see live how others are updating a shared note
• AirDrop now automatically resets to ‘Contacts Only’ after 10 minutes to prevent unwanted requests to receive content
• Accident detection optimization on iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro models
• Fixed an issue where some notes wouldn’t sync to iCloud after updating
