Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition HD is coming to Nintendo Switch
Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition is getting an HD version on Nintendo Switch. It will be on sale for Xbox One and Playstation 4 since September 6. Last February, the shortened version of Final Fantasy XV was released on Android and iOS.
The game is not a port of Final Fantasy XV from 2016, but a different game. FFXV Pocket Edition has different graphics and follows a simplified version of the story. For example, there are no sidequests and instead of the car there is a map that helps you to the next point. The story is divided into several chapters. The first chapter is free with the mobile version and a separate amount has to be paid for the rest of the chapters.
The HD version does not apply to this model. Instead, FFXV Pocket Edition HD for both Xbox One and PlayStation 4 costs $30 and temporarily $18. Square Enix does not mention an exact release date and price for the Switch version in the description of the launch trailer.
