The Final Fantasy X and X-2 remasters will be released on April 16 for Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. In the same month, on April 30, Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age will be released for both consoles. The games already have a PlayStation 4 and Steam version.

Square Enix has announced release dates via the official Final Fantasy website. Last September, the developer announced that they wanted to release several FF games for the Nintendo Switch and Xbox One in the course of 2019.

Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster is the first mainline game to have a release date announced. It is not yet known when the Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy IX remasters will be released. It is also unknown how much the games that appear in April will cost.

The original version of Final Fantasy X was released on May 24, 2002 and its sequel, X-2, in February 2004 for the PlayStation 2. Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age is an HD remaster of the International Zodiac Job System version of FFXII and released in 2017 for the PlayStation 4 and a year later for Windows.
