Final Fantasy VII Remake PC Version References Found In Epic Games Store
After a remaster of Alan Wake, references to the Final Fantasy VII Remake have also been found in the depths of the Epic Games Store. That may mean one or more episodes of the game are coming to Windows.
The references can be found through the website EpicData, a data miner that focuses on that online game store. The name of the game has been replaced by a code name. With Alan Wake it was HeronStaging, with Final Fantasy VII Remake it was Pineapple QA. Although those code names give nothing away, the CloudSaveFolder of the game was still called Final Fantasy VII Remake. Epic Games or the developers of Alan Wake and Final Fantasy, Remedy and Square Enix respectively, have since changed the lyrics. However, screenshots of the lyrics have already been taken.
There has been no official announcement of a PC release of the Final Fantasy VII Remake yet. Gematsu does note that a trailer for Intergrade, a new episode in the FFVII story, says that episode “will be available on PS5 at least six months earlier than any other format.” That six-month period ends on December 10 of this year.
The Final Fantasy VII Remake is a remake of the classic jrpg of the same name, originally released in 1997 and available for the Sony PlayStation. A Windows version followed a year later.
