Electronic Arts has announced that FIFA 22 will be released on October 1, 2021. The game will be available for PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series consoles, and Google Stadia. There will also be a Legacy Edition for the Nintendo Switch.

In a press release EA writes, among other things, that the next-gen versions of FIFA 22 use a HyperMotion technology. According to the company, that technology combines “advanced 11v11 match recording” with machine learning to provide “the most realistic, fluid and responsive football experience.” This technology is only available in the FIFA 22 version for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and Google Stadia.

According to the company, this HyperMotion tech is used for the motion capture of 22 football players at the same time. A machine learning algorithm, using “8.7 million frames of advanced match shooting,” writes animations in real time. According to the company, this would provide smoother movements.

Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappé is once again on the cover of the game. According to the company, the game will have more than 17,000 players, who will be divided over more than 700 teams. FIFA 22 also gets 90 stadiums and 30 different football leagues.
